Sam Howell was sacked six times in his NFL debut, but he persevered and threw a touchdown pass and ran for a score as Washington defeated Arizona 20-16. Howell finished 19 of 31 for 202 yards with one interception for the Commanders, who held the Cardinals to 210 total yards of offense. Washington is 6-1 ATS its past seven games after allowing fewer than 250 yards its previous game and 4-1 ATS after yielding fewer than 150 passing yards. The Commanders also are 17-8-1 ATS following a win. The posted total in this game is deflated due to Denver's ugly 17-16 loss to Las Vegas last week, but Russell Wilson put up some good stats although the Broncos got into the end zone just twice. Wilson completed 27 of 34 for 177 yards with no interceptions as he adjusts to his new coaches.
