Washington at Los Angeles

Washington is in the middle of a stretch that would tax most rosters, playing again tonight after closing out Phoenix less than 24 hours ago, the tail end of a run that has the Mystics winning three straight. The pace hasn't dropped with the workload. Washington has topped 90 points in three of its last five, all while working through a turnaround most teams would use to rest starters. Los Angeles is the softer half of this matchup regardless of who's tired. The Sparks have lost eight of their last ten, and the problem isn't scoring, it's stopping anyone else from scoring: a defense that gave up 124 to Atlanta last week and has allowed at least 77 points in seven of its last eight games. Los Angeles gets three full days of rest into tonight, which normally favors a defense, but a group that's been this porous with the rest advantage already hasn't shown it can flip that switch against a team still scoring in bunches on none.
