Las Vegas at Portland

Portland snapped a three-game skid in the most encouraging way possible, going into Seattle and beating the Storm outright. Carla Leite has been the engine behind that turnaround, scoring in the mid-teens over her last several outings and giving the Fire an actual offensive identity at home. Las Vegas walks in coming off a stunner of its own, an 84-68 loss to Indiana that exposed just how much the Aces lean on one player. A'ja Wilson is questionable again tonight, having already sat out three straight, and the roster around her has struggled to replace her scoring and gravity in the paint. If she plays and plays close to full strength, Las Vegas still has the higher ceiling in this building. But the number gives Portland a big cushion to work with against a team that just lost to a Caitlin Clark-less Fever squad, and the money has already found its way to the Fire side tonight.
