A marquee opener featuring a rematch of the 2024 WNBA Finals. The Las Vegas Aces lost in three games, winning one blowout (95-81) while losing a close one at New York (88-84) as a +4 underdog. Las Vegas lost some key pieces but picked up a lot of talent in the offseason. Newcomer Jewell Loyd averaged 24.7 and 19.7 points the last two years with Seattle. Former Atlanta Dream forward Cheyenne Parker-Tyus averaged 15 points per game with the Dream. Rookie Elizabeth Kitley (a former ACC Player of the Year) is aboard after rehabbing, missing all last season, along with rookie guard Aaliyah Nye, an offensive weapon. Las Vegas is on an 11-3-2 ATS run, plus 3-1-1 ATS as a dog. New York will be without injured forward Betnijah Laney-Hamilton. She was the fourth-leading scorer (11.8 ppg, 4.21 rpg) and a terrific inside defender. Play Las Vegas.
