Chicago at New York

Chicago is 15-24 and well under .500, and I'm not going to pretend New York's 23-16 mark doesn't say something real about the gap between these two teams. But New York just posted a season-low 60 points in a loss to Golden State that completed a season sweep, and the Liberty still don't have Satou Sabally, out for a tenth straight game, or Leonie Fiebich. Chicago is banged up too, missing Skylar Diggins for a seventh straight game and DiJonai Carrington, and now down Rickea Jackson for the year with a torn ACL. Even with all of that, the Sky have already beaten this Liberty team once this season, a 93-86 win earlier this month after dropping the first two meetings by a single point apiece. New York is favored again, but I don't trust a number this big from a team that just posted its worst offensive output of the year and has already lost to this same Chicago group once. Getting a healthy cushion of points with a Chicago team that has played the Liberty tough all year is the number I want here. Chicago is the play on the spread this afternoon.
