Atlanta returns its leading scorers in guards Rhyne Howard (17.3 ppg) and Allisha Gray (15.6 ppg). They had a great offseason, bringing in 6-9 Brittney Griner, Brionna Jones, and veteran Shatori Walker-Kimbrough. Griner averaged 17.8 points and 6.6 rebounds for Phoenix in 2024. Atlanta is on an 18-8-1 ATS run. Washington was tied last season for the worst home record (5-15). The new head coach, Sydney Johnson, wants to push the tempo but has opened a training camp with the league's youngest and least experienced team. They're not healthy, short at point guard with Georgia Amoore out, while Shakira Austin (11.8 ppg, 6.8 rpg in 2024) is day-to-day with a right leg injury. Play Atlanta.
