Jimmy Snuggerud scored twice and Dylan Holloway added three assists as St. Louis beat Columbus 5-3 on Saturday, and the Blues have had two days off since. Ottawa is 5-1 and St. Louis is 2-2-1 with 14 goals for and 16 against. I see the Senators’ record as resting on one man. Linus Ullmark started five of their six games, won all five and stopped 110 of 116 shots, a .948 save percentage. He played last night in a 4-1 win at New Jersey, so Ottawa is on the second night of a back-to-back. The only other one this season came on October 5 and 6: Ullmark started in Boston, Samuel Ersson started in Detroit the next night, and the Senators lost 5-3. That is one game, but it makes Ersson a real possibility in net tonight. Three of Ottawa’s five wins came by a single goal, so the Senators have little room for a drop in goaltending. They are also without defensemen Jake Sanderson and Artem Zub, and St. Louis is missing three of its own. St. Louis is a slight underdog against a tired team that may start its backup goalie, and I don’t think the price reflects that. My Max Play is St. Louis on the moneyline.
