San Jose at Dallas

Jason Robertson's natural hat trick put Dallas up 4-0 at Washington on Tuesday, and the Stars still needed to hang on for a 6-5 win. Thursday in Columbus, they lost in a shootout, with Mikko Rantanen scoring Dallas's only goal. Rantanen has nine goals and 19 points in 16 games and has scored in three straight. Over its last 10 games, Dallas is scoring 3.1 goals per game. San Jose has lost four straight and six of its last seven, and it has been outscored 28-12 across those seven. The Sharks dropped a 7-2 decision at the Kings on Wednesday. Friday at Minnesota, they lost 4-1, allowing the first goal for the eighth straight game, and Yaroslav Askarov faced 29 shots. The Stars shut San Jose out 5-0 in the first meeting this season. I expect Dallas to keep scoring on that defense, and a Sharks team that keeps falling behind has to open the game up to chase it. Dallas brings the scoring, and San Jose brings the defense that hands it over, so take the OVER tonight.
