Florida at Detroit

Detroit has lost four of its last five and had been having trouble scoring until its 4-1 win at Carolina on Thursday. Backup goalie Jonathan Bernier wasn't expected to play a second straight game on Thursday, but starter Jimmy Howard came down with a sore back and Bernier ended up stopping 38 shots in Detroit's win. Howard is expected back in goal tonight and he lost his last start at home against Ottawa last Friday. Florida had a two-game winning streak snapped at Toronto on Thursday, but the Panthers are 8-2 the last 10 meetings at Detroit and the road team has won six of the last eight meetings. Also, the Red Wings have gone UNDER in five of their last seven following a win and they are 25-9-2 UNDER their last 36 games against an opponent that scored two or fewer goals its previous game dating to last season.
