Buffalo at San Jose

San Jose is 6-5-1, and how it has won those games matters here. Five of the six wins came in overtime or a shootout. The lone regulation win, 6-2 at Ottawa on October 22, came in its eleventh game. Saturday at Boston showed the other side of that profile. The Sharks led 3-2 entering the third period, allowed four goals, and lost 6-4. It was the fifth late lead they have blown this season. Boston also outshot them 32-24. Buffalo is 4-4-3, and the Sabres have scored five goals twice, against Florida and Toronto. They scored three at Washington on Saturday, where Jack Quinn and Josh Doan put them up two before the Capitals came back. Quinn leads the team with six goals. A Sharks team with one regulation win in 12 games, and a habit of giving back leads, has few ways to answer an offense that gets in front. Boston scored six against San Jose in both meetings this month. Buffalo's scoring against that defense is why I'm laying the puckline with the Sabres.

0.5 unit on Buffalo -1.5 goals +178 (puckline) (risk 0.5 to return 1.39)
