San Francisco has good QB depth, experience, and versatility for the preseason with Brock Purdy, Mac Jones, and Tanner Mordecai. Jones threw for 74 yards (4-of-7 passing) in Week 1. The linebacker depth is deep, and last year in Week 2 of the preseason, the 49ers shut down New Orleans in a 16-10 victory. The Saints were 1-of-11 on third down. Coach Kyle Shanahan is 5-2 in Week 2 of the preseason. Las Vegas QBs Geno Smith, Aidan O’Connell, and Cam Miller combined for two interceptions in the opener, a 23-23 tie with Seattle. The defense was gashed for 368 yards (170 rushing), allowing 8-of-15 on third down. Raiders coach Pete Carroll is 5-8 in Week 2 of the preseason. Play San Francisco.
