Even if Brock Purdy returns for the 49ers this week, San Francisco is too depleted defensively to be laying points on the road against a division rival, especially one as desperate as the 3-6 Cardinals. This is the Cardinals' season. They will be going all out after their embarrassing, 44-22, road loss to the Seahawks last week. Up until that game, Arizona had not lost by more than four points all season. Their previous five losses came by a combined 13 points. One of these was a 16-15 road loss to the 49ers on Sept. 21. San Francisco edged the Cardinals by making a 35-yard field goal on the final play. Jacoby Brissett has replaced injured Kyler Murray since that game, and Arizona's offense has responded better. Injuries to multiple players, including their two best defenders - pass rusher Nick Bosa and linebacker Fred Warner - have taken a toll on the 49ers as they have allowed an average of 30.6 points per game in their last three games. Both offenses are going to be conservative to protect their defenses. Take the Cardinals on the moneyline and the UNDER.
