Pittsburgh at Washington
Monday 09/12 07:10 PM Eastern
1 unit on Washington +135 (moneyline) (risk 1 to return 2.35) RESULT: LOSS
Washington won its final four regular season games last year and have high hopes for this season with Kirk Cousins coming off his best season with 29 touchdown passes and just 11 interceptions. And he threw for a total of 4,166 yards. The Redskins are solid at wide receiver, including Josh Doctson, who is probable for this game. The offensive line also made a great improvement, especially with pass-blocking. And on defesne, the Redskins signed Pro Bowl cornerback Josh Norman. Running Back Matt Jones is expected to play tonight after recovering from a shoulder sprain. Pittsburgh will be without running back Le'Veon Bell, who is suspended again, and wide receiver Martavis Bryant is suspended for the entire season. The Steelers defense is a big concern after it finished 30th against the pass in 2015 and 21st in total defense. Their secondary will be young and inexperienced. Also, Pittsburgh was just 15th in turnover differential with a +2. Pittsburgh was 1-2 ATS as a road favorite last year while the Resskins were 5-1 ATS as home dogs. The line is less than a field goal, so Washington essentially has to win the game to cover the number. Play the Redskins on the moneyline.
