Pittsburgh is counting on 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers, who threw for 3,897 yards and 28 TDs with 11 interceptions for the Jets in 2024. However, a lot of that production was due to New York having to play catch-up as it stumbled to a 5-12 season. Rodgers is just 3-11 straight up and 4-10 ATS his past 14 starts, and the Steelers seemingly acquired him out of desperation after failing with Russell Wilson, and then Justin Fields moved on. Pittsburgh lost its final five games last season and didn't cover in any of them. Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season, but there have been plenty of mediocre ones. The Steelers have lost six of their last seven games against the AFC East, and they have lost four of their past five road games. Coincidentally, Fields will also face his former team in Week 1, having gone 4-2 in six starts for the Steelers. The Jets have a talented backfield featuring Breece Hall, Braelon Allen, and Isaiah Davis, along with a star receiver in Garrett Wilson. Pittsburgh has gone UNDER six Week 1s in a row, and the Steelers are 10-2 UNDER as road favorites of 0.5-3.0 points.
