Philadelphia at Washington

1 unit on Washington +8 (-110) (risk 1 to return 1.91)  RESULT: WIN

The sky is falling in Washington, right? With all the problems Washington has had winning games, there actually has been a lot more things going right than people might think. The defense has been improved at #17 against the pass and #7 against the run this season. This is a team that won at Dallas in late October 20-17, in OT as a big dog. The passing offense is #10 in the NFL with a lot of weapons. The season may be over, but not for QB Robert Griffin III who has plenty still to prove. He'll be bringing his "A" game here. Washington outgained the New York Giants last week 372 yards to 287, including 144 yards rushing. It was a 17-13 game going into the fourth. Griffin threw for 236 yards, a tocuhdown and no picks and ran for another 46. RG3 faces a bad Philadelphia defense ranked #18 against the run and #28 against the pass. The Eagles have lost two in a row, surrendering 24 and 38 points, including 440 yards to Seattle (188 rushing) and 364 yards (115 rushing) to Dallas. And let's not forget who the Eagles have at QB: backup Mark Sanchez, who has 10 TDs to 9 picks. The Eagles are 4-9 ATS on the road against a team with a losing home record and 2-8 ATS in December. Right now Philly simply isn't good enough to be laying this kind of wood on the road. Grab the big home dog and play on Washington.
