Tennessee and New York both finished 3-14 last season, and only one of them enters this opener with real coaching continuity. The Titans fired Brian Callahan just five weeks into last year and finished the season under an interim staff before hiring Robert Saleh, who the Jets let go of before landing in Tennessee. New York kept Aaron Glenn for his second season, and while the Jets brought in a new defensive coordinator in Brian Duker, Glenn himself is expected to keep calling the defense, which limits how much actually changes on that side of the ball. Two rosters that struggled to move the ball consistently last year, with one installing a brand-new system in the opener, point to a game that stays close and doesn't score much. Getting points on a rebuilding Jets team with more coaching continuity than its opponent is where the value sits, and the same forces argue for a total that finishes low today.
