The Jets bring in a new coach in Adam Gase, who was run out of Miami. The front office had to defend the hire so don't be surprised if the new coach wants to impress his bosses and fans by opening the offense up more than usual in Week 1 of preseason. Gase was the offensive coordinator of the record-setting 2013 Denver Broncos. Quarterback Sam Darnold has a year under his belt and there is plenty of experience backing him up in Trevor Siemian and Luke Falk. But the defense has loads of work to do after finishing last season #25 in yards allowed, and #29 in points. The NY Giants have plenty of QB talent in veteran Eli Manning and Daniel Jones, who was the No. 6 selection in the 2019 NFL Draft. But the defense is also bad, ranked #24 in yards allowed, and #23 in points last year. Even in preseason they allowed 17.3 points per game, including a 22-16 win over these Jets, and this shapes up as another offensive show. Play the OVER.
