Jaxson Dart and Geno Smith have both locked up their jobs, so do not expect to see much of either quarterback Friday. That leaves this one to the next men up, and the Giants have an edge there. Jameis Winston, a former No. 1 overall pick who has started games as recently as last season, is the Giants’ clear-cut backup on a two-year deal. Cade Klubnik, a fourth-round rookie still finding his footing, is the Jets’ primary backup behind Smith, and he is working with a much thinner track record at this level. A finale that comes down to backups favors the side with the more proven one, and that is the Giants by a wide margin. Take the Giants to cover.
