New York at Chicago
Sunday 01/02 01:00 PM Eastern
2 units on New York +6 (-105) (risk 2 to return 3.9) RESULT: loss
1.5 units on Game Total UNDER 37 -102 (risk 1.5 to return 2.97) RESULT: win
Chicago has lost three of four, but it did manage to pull out a 25-24 win over Seattle when Jimmy Graham caught a 15-yard TD pass from Nick Foles, and then Damiere Byrd made a miraculous catch on the 2-point conversion. Now the Bears have three mediocre quarterbacks to choose from as Justin Fields and Andy Dalton could be available again, although they probably won't take a chance with Fields until his ankle has fully healed. New York has its own QB problems with starter Daniel Jones out for the season, so Mike Glennon and Jake Fromm will likely split duties this week. Saquon Barkley is probable for the Giants, who have had trouble scoring all season, and they are 2-7 UNDER their last nine games. Chicago isn't much better, averaging just 17.7 points this season. The weather forecast calls for temperatures in the low 20s with a slight wind, which won't help the offenses. The Giants are 18-7-1 ATS their past 26 games against teams with losing records and 6-2 ATS in January games. The Bears are 0-5 ATS in January and 0-5 ATS in their last five home games (5-12 ATS overall as favorites). New York is 15-5-1 UNDER as an underdog and 19-6-1 UNDER in its last 26 games overall. Also, Chicago is 19-7 UNDER in its last 26 home games and 23-9 UNDER overall after an ATS win. Play the Giants ATS for a Max Play and also go with the UNDER.
