New England at Minnesota

Mike Vrabel is 9-9 straight up and 8-8-2 ATS in preseason, but he appears to be taking this preseason seriously in his first year as head coach of New England. The Patriots pounded the Commanders 48-18 with Ben Wooldridge throwing for 132 yards and a TD, and Joshua Dobbs completed five of 12 for 45 yards. Drake Maye played a series and completed three of five passes. The Patriots amassed 153 rushing yards against, admittedly, Washington's backups on defense. Minnesota comes off a 20-10 win over Houston with four quarterbacks seeing action. Sam Howell threw for 105 yards on 11 of 13 passing, and projected starter J.J. McCarthy finally got a chance to perform following last year's season-long injury and went 4-for-7 for 30 yards. Max Brosmer threw the only TD pass for the Vikings. Kevin O'Connell is 4-7 straight up and 5-6 ATS in the preseason. New England has gone UNDER five of its past seven preseason games, including 3-0 UNDER last year. Minnesota easily stayed UNDER against the Texans. Both teams played relatively well defensively last week. Take the Patriots and the UNDER.
