There is nothing like the perception and illusion that this game takes on. If this were a regular season game, the Vikings would be clear-cut prohibitive favorites. Instead, they are getting points. Yes, it is the preseason, but the talent level difference here is big - even for backups. Brad Childress has put up three 3-1 preseason records while only delivering one 1-3 season (the rest have been 2-2). So, he takes the preseason seriously enough. With the uncertainty around Brett Favre, the Minnesota "backups" Tavaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels have seen all of the action in camp and should get a lot of action here. Meanwhile, the Rams will be trying to test out a rookie. Really good teams like the Vikings that are instilled as a dog fare well in the preseason historically when facing really bad teams like the Rams. I'm taking the Vikings here.
