Minnesota at Detroit

Matt Patricia has made some rookie mistakes in his first season as the Detroit head coach, but he has put together a decent defensive unit that is ranked #13 in yards allowed. The Lions have allowed a combined total of only 17 points their last two games against Arizona and Buffalo. The Lions have gone UNDER five in games in a row and seven of their last nine and Minnesota has stayed UNDER five of its last seven. Detroit led 13-7 at halftime against the Bills, but did not score again and lost 14-13 and Matt Stafford finished 22-of-29 for 208 yards with a touchdown and no picks. The Lions lost Kerryon Johnson for the season, but Theo Riddick and Zach Zenner picked up the slack and ran for a combined 92 yards last week. The Vikings defeated Miami, but they still have lost four of their last seven while clinging to a playoff spot. The Vikings are 1-4-1 ATS when following a win and the Lions have covered five of their last seven after an ATS win. Eight of the last 10 meetings have gone UNDER, including Minnesota's 24-9 win on Nov. 4. Detroit is 17-6 UNDER its last 23 Week 16 games. Grab the points with the Lions and go with the UNDER.
