Kansas City at Denver

Monday 10/01 08:15 PM Eastern

1 unit on Kansas City -184 (moneyline) (risk 1 to return 1.54)  RESULT: WIN

Kansas City has won and covered all three games this season, and the Chiefs have beaten the Broncos five times in a row dating to 2015. The Chiefs are only the third NFL team to score 38 or more points in their first three games of the season, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes has thrown a record 13 touchdown passes with no interceptions. Mahomes was 24-of-38 for 314 yards with three TDs in last week's 38-27 win over San Francisco. Kansas City is #9 in the league in total offense yards (398.3) and #9 in passing yards (295.0). Denver eked out two wins against Seattle and Oakland before losing at Baltimore with Case Keenum completing 22-of-34 for 192 yards with no touchdowns and an interception. The Broncos scored 14 points in the first quarter and then were held scoreless the rest of the game. Keenum has not been as effective yet as he was with the Vikings last season as he's still getting used to his new team. Keenum has 743 passing yards and three touchdowns with five interceptions on 66-of-108 passing with the Broncos. Denver's defense has been more vulnerable than in the past and it was installed as a small home underdog. The Chiefs have covered the number 12 of their last 16 road games going back to last year, and they are 20-7 ATS their last 27 games versus AFC West teams. The smart bet in this matchup, though, is to play the Chiefs on the moneyline.
