New coaches can be more motivated to play well in the preseason. The Jaguars are off a 4-13 campaign and have a new coach in Liam Coen, the former offensive coordinator with the Bucs and Rams. Jacksonville went to New Orleans last week and played well in a 17-17 tie, going 6-of-12 on third down. The defense has allowed just 87 and 66 yards rushing in two games. Miami coach Mike McDaniel said he will play the starters a bit. QB Tua Tagovailoa completed 5 of 6 passes in his one series in the preseason opener against the Bears, and didn't play in the preseason finale last August. The backup QBs are Zach Wilson and Quinn Ewers, who have been sacked 7 times in two games.
