Houston at Detroit

Detroit could have a serious problem if Jared Goff goes down with an injury, as Hendon Hooker has not looked good in the first two games, while Kyle Allen is in line for the No. 2 job. The Lions have lost two of their first three preseason games following a 24-17 defeat against Miami. Allen was a bright spot, completing 14 of 17 for 124 yards and two scores. However, Allen has appeared in only 16 regular-season games the past five years with 26 TDs and 21 interceptions. Dan Campbell is 6-9 straight up and 10-5 OVER in the preseason for Detroit. DeMeco Ryans is 6-3 straight up for Houston, 3-1 in true road games. The Texans have won the final preseason game in their first two years. C.J. Stroud threw a touchdown pass and went 6 for 8 for 44 yards in two series as the Texans beat Carolina 20-3. Davis Mills threw for 61 yards on 8 of 14 passing, and Kedon Clovis finished 5 of 12 for 51 yards for Houston. The Lions have allowed 22.7 points per game in their first three preseason games.
