Houston at Dallas

Sunday 10/05 01:00 PM Eastern

1 unit on Houston +7 (-120) (risk 1 to return 1.83)  RESULT: WIN

This line opened up at -4 for the home team, but after watching the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday Night crushing New Orleans 38-17, the public has bought back into America's team lock-stock-and-barrel. Has everyone forgotten that Jason Garrett is 10-22 ATS as a favorite? Houston won all of two games last season, but through four weeks of this season, they have already topped that mark at 3-1. Houston saw everything go wrong last season, but things have been different this year as they are making big plays when most needed. This line has suddenly shot up 2.5 to 3 points providing a great overlay. Houston allows just 16.8 points per game on the season so this is a large number, especially in a classic letdown spot for the Boys. While the Dallas defense may have looked good against Drew Brees and the Saints, remember that Minnesota held them to 20 points in the Dome. The Dallas defense is ranked #24 in yards allowed, and this one looks like a one possession game either way, so the points are likely going to loom large. Despite the fact that these teams play in opposing conferences, this is a bigger game for Houston against their hated in-state rival. Dallas just spent a lot of energy and emotion last week, and likely won't play with the same flare in this one - especially with the next one at Seattle. Take the points on Houston.
