LOSS

The Vikings looked like the most improved team in the league early on when they jumped out of the gate at 4-1 witha nice win double-digit win over San Francisco mixed in. They have now dropped three of their last four. Christian Ponder has struggled of late and, after looking good defensively early, this team has allowed 30 points or more in all three of the losses. Adrian Peterson is really the offense right now. After opening the season with zero INTs the first four games, QB Christian Ponder has thrown eight in the last five games. His confidence and passer rating have both declined. Couple that with a defense that is suddenly out of sorts and the Vikings are looking a lot like last year's team that had trouble finding the win column. The Lions have been just the opposite. They looked lousy in their first four games at 1-3, but rebounded to go 3-1 in their last four to get even. Matthew Stafford has regained his confidence and his best two games of the season have been his last two. Detroit is still young and are a momentum-team in one direction or the other. After a win they are 13-6-2 ATS in their last 21. The Vikings are 7-18-1 ATS after gaining 150+ on the ground in their previous game, as team's begin to key on Peterson. Play on Detroit.
