Detroit at Minnesota

Matthew Stafford did not test positive for the coronavirus, but is considered to be a close contact of someone who did. Therefore, he still could play on Sunday if he continues to test negative after a false positive earlier this week. Detroit had won two in a row for the first time since early last season before losing to the Colts. Stafford was 24 of 42 for 336 yards with three touchdowns, but also had two costly turnovers. Chase Daniel would start if Stafford can't go and he is a former Bears backup who beat the Lions in 2018. He also led Chicago to a 16-6 win over the Vikings last year. Minnesota was desperate for a win and got it by beating Green Bay 28-22, but the Vikings are still 2-5 on the season. The Viking defense is #29 in the NFL, allowing 411.7 yards per game. Minnesota also is #29 in scoring defense giving up 30.6 points per game and #30 in pass defense allowing 287.3 yards per contest. The Lions are 11-5 ATS their last 16 games after losing by 10-plus points at home and the Vikings are 2-6 ATS their last eight as favorites, including 1-5 ATS as home favorites. Take the Lions.
