Cincinnati at Washington
Friday 08/20 08:00 PM Eastern
1.5 units on Washington -5 (-115) (risk 1.5 to return 2.8) RESULT: loss
1 unit on Game Total OVER 35 -103 (risk 1 to return 1.97) RESULT: loss
Washington comes off a 22-13 loss to New England, and Ryan Fitzpatrick played the first two series in his debut for the team and went 5 of 8 for 58 yards. Taylor Heinicke completed 9 of 15 for 86 yards, and third-string QB Steven Montez finished 17 of 24 for 108 yards and a touchdown with an interception. Obviously, the WFT has three quarterbacks who are capable, at least in the preseason, coming into this matchup with the Bengals. Coach Ron Rivera is 20-17 straight up and 19-17-1 ATS in preseason, and Cincinnati head coach Zac Taylor is 2-3 SU and ATS as he enters his third season. The Bengals could be feeling a little overconfident after beating the Super Bowl champions as a six-point underdog with two backup quarterbacks. Kyle Shurmer completed 12 of 19 for 108 yards while Brandon Allen finished 7 of 10 for 77 yards, and neither QB threw a touchdown pass. Joe Burrow is not expected to play at all in this game as he continues to recover from a severe knee injury suffered last season. Cincinnati is on the road for the second week in a row with a win under its belt while WFT has the motivation to look good in front of the home fans. Rivera is 20-16-1 OVER in preseason and has three QBs that can put up points. Play Washington and the OVER.
