It's only preseason, but Washington would like to atone for its 48-18 blowout loss at New England in Week 1 as the Commanders play in front of their home fans on Monday night. What's more, the Commanders plan to play their starters at least for a few series, and that includes Jayden Daniels, the 2024 Offensive Rookie of the Year. Cincinnati head coach Zac Taylor is 3-13-1 straight up in preseason, including last week's 34-27 loss to the Eagles as a 6.5-point favorite. Taylor said fewer starters likely would play this week due to numerous injuries. The Bengals looked sloppy against Philadelphia with several costly penalties, primarily on special teams. The offensive line is also very thin in terms of depth and prone to injury issues. Washington is 6-1 UNDER its past six in its second preseason game, and Cincinnati is 5-1 UNDER in game 2. Cincinnati's backup QBs, Desmond Ridder and Jake Browning, were a combined 13 of 30 for 153 yards against the Eagles. The Bengals only averaged 10.3 points in 2024's three preseason contests.
