Carolina at Green Bay

Carolina scored 13 points in a 43-13 home loss to Tampa Bay on Sunday, and now it travels on a short week with right tackle Taylor Moton on injured reserve and guard Damien Lewis out. Green Bay has its own trouble up front. Center Sean Rhyan and right guard Travis Glover are both out, leaving John Williams, who hadn't taken an offensive snap before Sunday, to start at center. I start with the ground game, where the Packers rank last in the league at 59.9 rushing yards per game, and no Green Bay player has run for 45 yards in a game this season. Josh Jacobs made his debut last week in Detroit, rushing 11 times for 36 yards, and his workload will increase tonight, but behind this O-Line, I don't expect the kind of impact that can take true advantage of Carolina's soft run defense. Green Bay scores 20.6 points per game. Its 31-7 win over Chicago is its only game above 23 points this season, and its last four games produced combined totals of 31, 38, 36 and 37. Carolina's defense gave up 59 to that same Chicago team and 43 to Tampa Bay, and it plays without edge rusher Jaelan Phillips. Green Bay's defense has allowed 20.7 per game, and in its last four it held opponents to 14, 7, 13 and 20. I'm on the UNDER tonight.
