After a long stint at Carolina, Ron Rivera has been fired as coach of the Panthers. The Panthers' playoff hopes looked promising at 5-3 but after four straight losses, it was time for Rivera to get the boot. Atlanta woke up for two straight weeks as their dismal defense stepped up with huge efforts in wins vs. New Orleans, and this same Carolina team, but it has been business as usual for the Falcons the last two weeks. Outside of the two-week uprising, this is a very flawed 1-9 team, and Carolina was absent in the first game in a 29-3 loss and will have revenge in mind this week.
