Wyoming at Akron

Akron finished 4-8 in 2024, which is a reason for some celebration, as the Zips had totaled only six wins in the previous three seasons. Head coach Joe Moorhead seems finally to have his team on an upward path, and the Zips return QB Ben Finley, who passed for 2,604 yards and 16 TDs with nine interceptions last season. Akron also has a top recruit, Cibastian Broughton, to back up Finley if needed. Akron ended the 2024 campaign on a 4-1 ATS run, winning its last two outright against Kent State and Toledo. The Zips have gone UNDER four of five Thursday games. Wyoming is 5-1 UNDER in its past six games, averaging just 19 points per game in 2024. The Cowboys return nine starters from that questionable offense, and although head coach Jay Sawvel wants to get the ground game going, the Cowboys have just one experienced running back on the roster. Wyoming is 1-5-1 ATS its past seven non-conference games. Sophomore Kaden Anderson will take over at quarterback after appearing in nine games, including three starts last year.
