Virginia Tech vs. South Carolina

Virginia Tech allowed 23 points per game in 2024, and it has a new defensive coordinator this year as Sam Siefkes takes over after spending four seasons as an NFL assistant. The Hokies are strong on the defensive line and they bring back their two top linebackers, Jaden Keller and Caleb Woodson, who combined for 155 tackles. It's a different story on the offensive side, as the Hokies have to replace all five starters on the offensive line and their top three wide receivers. South Carolina has gone UNDER six of its past seven August games, and the Gamecocks are 7-2 UNDER against ACC opponents. They only allowed 18 points per game last season against mostly tough SEC competition, and the Gamecocks won their final six regular-season games before losing 21-17 to Illinois in the Citrus Bowl, going UNDER by 12.5 points.
