Virginia Tech at Duke

If you turned the clock back a few years, did you ever in your lifetime think you'd see Duke as a favorite vs. a Frank Beamor Virginia Tech team? It certainly has been the changing of the guard. Now, only the names on the uniforms have held this point spread in check, and not the differences between the teams, which is much greater. It seems like the oddsmakers are not a believer yet, but all Duke has done is ridden well under the radar and produce a 16-5-1 ATS mark in their last 22 games, including 11-3 ATS in conference play. The Hokies by name, not level of play always seem to be considered better due to their past. However, the fact is that VT is not a good team at 4-5 and they have dropped six of their last seven ATS. The Hokies were once pointspread cash cows are just 16-33-1 ATS in their last 50. These teams have traded places over the last couple years, but the numbers haven't caught up yet. Play on Duke.
