Even against Coastal Carolina, they averaged just 3.8 yards per carry. The defense looks better, allowing 1-of-14 on third down in the opener. Virginia is on an 8-5 run UNDER the total. NC State comes off a 24-17 win over East Carolina as a two-touchdown favorite. Sophomore QB C.J. Bailey (17 TDs, 10 INTs in 2024) runs the offense, and the ground game struggled badly in the opener, rushing for 2.9 yards per carry. They lost a terrific playmaker in WR K.C.
