UAB has exceeded expectations in its first year back after a two-year absence. The Blazers are 6-3 straight-up and 7-2 ATS when following its convincing 52-21 win over Rice. A.J. Erdely was nearly perfect finishing 20-of-21 for 197 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. Erdely has completed 61.0 percent of his passes for 1,692 yards with 12 TDs and only two picks this season. Spencer Brown rushed for 140 yards on only 17 carries against the Owls after racking up 209 yards on 6.3 yards per carry the previous week at Southern Miss. The Blazers eased up in the second half after leading Rice 42-7 at the half. Texas-San Antonio is just 1-4 ATS its last five games and lost 14-7 at Florida International last week. The Roadrunners managed only 261 total offense yards and QB Dalton Sturm was 13-of-21 for only 105 yards with one touchdown. UTSA was picked to finish near the top of the Conference USA West Division but has lost three of its last five games. The Blazers already have clinched Bowl eligibility and are looking for more.
