Troy at Old Dominion

Even getting starting quarterback Goose Crowder back for the first time since Week 3, there is concern about Troy's offense. The Trojans lost their previous game, 23-10, to Arkansas State before going into their bye last week. Arkansas State ranks 116th in total defense. Crowder, who threw three interceptions in the first two games before getting hurt, could be dealing with a rust factor. He is slated to split time with Tucker Kilcrease, who has started the last six games for Troy. Old Dominion has kept all of its opponents in check offensively, aside from James Madison and Marshall. The Monarchs have held four of their nine opponents to seven points or fewer. Old Dominion was also idle last week. The Monarchs defeated UL-Monroe, 31-6, in their last game. Old Dominion has a very good quarterback in Colton Joseph. He leads the Sun Belt Conference in touchdown passes. Troy, though, has an excellent pass rush that can neutralize Joseph. The Trojans rank second in the conference in sacks. They have also forced nine turnovers during the past 10 quarters. Troy defensive end Donnie Smith leads the Sun Belt with six sacks. Take the UNDER.
