Texas State at Troy

After five years of failing to be a better than .500 team, the Troy Trojans have perhaps their best team ever as they enter this game at 8-2 on the season. They have now won 18 games and counting over the last two years - a school record. Last year the Trojans opened some eyes when they travelled to Clemson and played the Tigers to the final gun, losing just 30-24. This year they went to Baton Rouge to take on LSU and got over the top, taking down the Tigers 24-21 as a 20-point underdog. This team has an ample offense, but the defense has not allowed more than 24 points to anyone all season. Texas State has a lone win this season vs. FBS opponents, and is severely lacking defensively allowing 30 points or more to seven opponents, and have topped the 30-point mark just once. Troy can win out, including their Bowl game, and finish with a school record 11 wins, so they will bring it for this one. Play on Troy.
