ALAMO BOWL - Utah has the #1 rushing defense in the country allowing 70.5 yards per game on 2.7 per carry. The Utes are also third overall defensively, giving up 256.4 yards and only 13.2 points. Utah is 8-4-1 UNDER this season and Texas went UNDER three of its last four games. The Longhorns are only #107 in yards allowed, but they allow only 28.9 points and they will make up for any defensive efficiency with more motivation than the Utes as they will have a crowd advantage in San Antonio and the Utes settled for this Bowl after having an outside chance of making the playoffs. Utah is 8-1 UNDER its last nine games overall and 4-1 UNDER when following a loss. Also, the Utes have stayed UNDER in five of their last seven against teams with winning records and the defense has bounced back well dating to last season as Utah is 3-0-1 UNDER over its last four games after a loss of at least 20 points.
