The Ducks have had a very exciting offense for several years that did get to a BCS Championship game. But, overall it doesn't seem to quite carry them over the top. And this year, it seemed like once they lost and a National Championship was lost with it, they kind of fell apart and became unmotivated. The Ducks finished the season at 2-2, averaging just 29 points per game. This is from a team that while going 8-0 was averaging 55.6 points per game. The fact is they never got to within 10 points in any game of that 55.6 average in their last four. It is doubtful this is going to be a motivated Bowl team that really had visions of playing in a National Championship. Texas will be close to home and enjoy a lot of fans support. After a 1-2 start to the season, they finished 7-2. The defense has improved and in their last game of the season, they held a very prolific Baylor offense to 30 points on the road. Baylor had scored 41 or more in every home game prior to Texas. The Longhorns have faced a Pac-12 team the last two years in their Bowl game and won both of them, including last year vs. Oregon State as an underdog. The line is too big for an unmotivated team to tackle here. Take the points with Texas.
