One thing that has become evident in recent years in the Bowl games: the Big 12 is consistently overrated by the National Media. Traditionally, Big 12 teams have lined up cream puff OOC schedules to ready themselves for the rigor of conference play. Not so this year with this Horns game. Texas will put it all on the line before the Red River shootout for the first time in a while, and this game should be a dandy. There is not a better home field advantage in America than the horseshoe, a far cry from the wine and cheese bunch in Austin. Throw in the fact that the Buckeyes D is loaded to stop the run this season, and Vince Young has yet to win a collegiate game with his arm, and we love the Buckeyes in this spot. OSU also gets Smith back at QB for this one. Ohio State is 16-6 ATS at home after a cover as a double digit favorite since 1992. Considering how the Big 12 has fared in bowl games against big name opponents recently, and the fact that the Michigan tape alone should give Tressel plenty to go on, we side with the home team for three stars.
