Stanford at California

One of the biggest rivalries around has the Stanford Cardinals heading to Cal for a huge game as each team enters the season finale at 7-4. It certainly has been tough going for Cal in this series as they have dropped eight straight to their in-state rival. Cal has not beaten Stanford at home since 2008. The Cal defense has held five straight opponents to 21 or fewer points and an average of a stingy 14.2 points per game. The problem is a lackluster offense that has generated 17 or fewer in five of their last seven. The Stanford offense has put up 48 and 49 in their last two games, and although I don't expect big numbers, they will get enough for a comfortable win vs. a Cal team that is only effective on one side of the ball.
