Southern Miss at UL Lafayette

Southern Miss is experiencing another dismal season after briefly having hope following last year's 7-6 campaign. The Golden Eagles won their second game of the year 24-7 over UL Monroe on Saturday, and it went UNDER by 24.5 points. Southern Miss QB Billy Wiles has thrown for 1,746 yards with nine TDs, but with six interceptions, and his QB rating is a lowly 35.7. The Golden Eagles' offense has been mainly Frank Gore Jr., who has rushed for 812 yards and seven scores on 5.0 per carry. UL Lafayette has quarterback problems of its own and it has gone UNDER four straight, including its 37-17 loss to Arkansas State last week that went UNDER by seven points. Zeon Chriss threw for 171 yards and a TD, but he is out for this game with an undisclosed issue, which probably means Chandler Fields will get the call after relieving Chriss and finishing 10- of 17 for 92 yards against the Red Wolves.
