Barry Odom is having a more difficult time turning Purdue's program around than he did at UNLV, as the Boilermakers have lost five in a row, and their only wins were against Ball State and FCS Southern Illinois. They are averaging just 18.8 points in that five-game span, and the Boilermakers are 0-3-1 ATS their past four, including an ugly 19-0 loss to Northwestern on Saturday. They were outgained 368-305 with QBs Malachi Singleton and Ryan Browne combining for 15 of 30 for 218 yards with an interception. The fact that Purdue is a home underdog to Rutgers, which has lost four straight, says a lot about the sorry state of the Boilermakers' season. The Scarlet Knights had been putting up plenty of points until they ran into Oregon and lost 56-10. However, they will have more success this week, as Purdue has allowed 35.6 points per game over its past five games. Rutgers is 4-1 ATS in its past five road games and 4-1 ATS overall following an ATS loss. Purdue is 5-13 ATS over the past season, with a 2-7 ATS record at home. The Boilermakers have lost 13 conference games in a row. Take Rutgers.
