Rice at North Texas

Rice has played only two games losing in double overtime to Middle Tennessee before blowing out Southern Mississippi 30-6 on Oct. 31. The Owls were led by quarterback Mike Collins, who threw for 233 yards and four touchdowns and no interceptions on 12 of 17 passing against the Eagles. Juma Otoviano rushed for 111 yards on 4.0 per carry as the Owls outgained the Eagles 412-269. North Texas snapped a three-game losing streak by beating Middle Tennessee 52-35, but the Mean Green has the third-worst defense in the country allowing 549.4 yards and 44.2 points per game. Consequently, the posted total is inflated, but Rice has allowed a total of only 40 points in regulation time in its two games and the Owls return 10 defensive starters from last year's squad. Rice went UNDER by 23 points against Southern Miss and the UNDER is 8-2 in North Texas' last 10 games after an ATS win. The Mean Green is 6-20 ATS its last 26 games and 5-16 ATS its last 21 conference games. Also, North Texas has covered just one of its last five home games. Take Rice and the UNDER.
