Penn State vs. Clemson

Few could have imagined before the season that Penn State and Clemson would end up playing in the Pinstripe Bowl. Both had extremely disappointing seasons. Given all of Clemson's opt-outs, Penn State is the superior team. Clemson's defense will have plenty of high draft picks, but these players won't be on the field. The list includes first-team All-ACC members defensive tackle Peter Woods and cornerback Avieon Terrell, along with standout pass rusher TJ Parker, safety Khalil Barnes, and linebacker Wade Woodaz, who finished second on the team with 70 tackles. Antonio Williams, the Tigers' best wide receiver, also won't play. Ethan Grunkemeyer took over for injured QB Drew Allar and finished with the highest completion percentage (69.4%) in Penn State history. Penn State had competitive losses to Oregon, Iowa, and Indiana while competing in the tougher Big Ten Conference.
