Oregon vs. Auburn

This is a huge game on the Week 1 slate as Oregon and Auburn will duke it out at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. Gus Malzahn is under a lot of pressure after an early-season Top 10 team finished 8-5. He is putting the offense in his own hands. QB Jarrett Stidham left for the NFL but there is still a lot of talent at QB, but not much experience. The Tigers finished last season without a 1,000 yard rusher for the first time in a decade. The good news is that all five offensive lineman return. Auburn has a stacked defensive front and a talented secondary, and the defense may be worth some points in many games. QB Justin Herbert is a likely #1 overall pick in the NFL, so the Ducks have strong leadership. His receivers, however, drop a lot of balls and the best one has moved onto the NFL. The defense had good red-zone numbers but made a lot of mistakes overall and may not be as fortunate this year. I think the Auburn defense may be the best unit on the field in this game.
