North Texas vs. San Diego State

North Texas fell to 1-9 ATS in its past 10 December games after losing 34-21 to Tulane in the American championship game. The Mean Green are also 1-5 ATS in their past six following a loss as they head into the New Mexico Bowl. QB Drew Mestemaker, the FBS passing leader, will likely enter the transfer portal, but is expected to play in this game. However, the Mean Green will be without at least four defensive linemen due to transfers and injuries, and head coach Eric Morris has moved on to Oklahoma State. Special teams coordinator Drew Svoboda will be the interim coach. San Diego State finished 9-3 straight up and ATS. The Aztecs have covered five of their past six non-conference games. North Texas has lost seven of nine against the Mountain West Conference. San Diego State has gone UNDER six games in a row, and it allowed seven or fewer points in four of those. The Aztecs have stayed UNDER seven of their past eight non-conference games, and they are 4-0 UNDER after totaling fewer than 170 yards passing their previous game. They will need a good defensive effort as starting QB Jayden Denegal is out due to shoulder surgery. Bert Emmanuel Jr. likely will replace him. Take San Diego State and the UNDER.
