Murray State at Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State just proved exactly what this offense can do against real competition, outscoring then-No. 6 Oregon 39-31 in a track meet last week, the same kind of scoring pace on trial again tonight. That win came with the Cowboys' defense still leaking points, having now given up 27.5 points a game through two weeks, and Murray State brings a legitimate scoring threat of its own, averaging better than 27 points last week against Valparaiso even in a season that's started 1-2. Oklahoma State is a lopsided home favorite tonight, and after showing it can go blow for blow with one of the best teams in the country, there's no reason to expect quarterback Drew Mestemaker and this offense to suddenly play conservative against an FCS opponent that's given up 28 points a game itself. Murray State has proven it can put points on the board even in losses, and against a defense with real question marks, a few scores from the Racers on top of what Oklahoma State is already positioned to do gets this one home.
